Griffon Forest was absolutely fantastic. The forest location was beautiful, the lodge we stayed in was absolutely perfect with beautiful furnishings and everything you could need in it. Hot tub under the stars was heaven. Not to mention the staff who were so helpful and friendly from reception to maintenance. I can't wait to go again. The ideal place for a completely relaxing break.

I would definitely recommend this holiday to others. The staff are all very helpful and the accommodation lived up to the information which you give. A lovely romantic weekend away to celebrate our wedding anniversary, wine and chocolates were a lovely finishing touch. And not forgetting the 6ft Jacuzzi and hot tub, out of this world. So relaxing and unwinding and the friendly wildlife that came and visited our balcony all day long .

Staying at Griffon Forest the week before Christmas really was special, the accommodation was fantastic and with York only a short drive away, the Christmas spirit just kept getting better. We had one small issue with the log fire not working but that was rectified within an hour so the staff are really committed are do a great job. Thank you!

03 September 2010

Griffon Forest is in an ideal location for York and all that it has to offer. We stayed in a Poacher's lodge and were wowed from the moment we arrived as it is designed to a very good standard. The park is cleverly thought out and the lodges are not on top of each other. There is a small shop on site and the staff couldn't be more helpful. We had the most perfect relaxing holiday lounging in the hot tub, watching free DVDs from the reception library in the jacuzzi bath and overal getting peace and quiet. This is perfect for couples and families wanting rest and relaxation but who also want to be not far from the hustle and bustle. There are many lovely walks and cycle tracks and the golf course is only a 5 minute walk away. We also found the live feed showing a badger's set absolutely facinating. We have only just got back and are already making plans to return.
Mrs W, Tamworth, Staffordshire

Fantastic couples retreat. Wanted a quiet, private location and we got the ideal holiday. Location was fantastic and would recommend to any couple wanting some time together. Cabin was lovely and perfect size. Nice and clean and the jaccuzzi bath for 2 was lovely.

03 July 2010

From the minute we arrived we began to relax and enjoy the beautiful accommodation and surroundings at Griffon Forest. The Hoseasons booking process was seamless and we were welcomed to the park by friendly, efficient staff. The lodge was even better than our high expectations and incredibly well equipped. My advice is to travel light and check the place out before popping to the supermarket down the road and stocking up on supplies, as everything from salt and pepper to an iron and board was already there, in addition to the fantastic welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits, bubbly, chocolates and flowers! Just don't forget to buy some peanuts to coax the cheeky squirrels even closer for that perfect picture. They gave us hours of fun on our decking. Overall, the perfect stay!
Mr K, Glasgow, Lanarkshire

I booked this holiday as a short break to 'get away from it all' for my partners 30th, and it was the most relaxed we have ever been. Naturally the weather in February was grey, but the lodge was so well equipped with an extensive DVD library at reception that we didn't need to venture outdoors, except for trips to nearby York and use of the amazing hot tub! I have recommended this to several of my friends and we are even considering returning for another break later in the year!

A fantastic getaway, easy going and very relaxing. Situated near York's park and ride stations which were very easy to use and we found it was the best way to get into the city. Simply amazing. A long weekend locked away in a Poachers lodge - sheer bliss. Everything we needed was there, the best equipped self catering accommodation we've ever stayed in. We had items we wouldn't have even thought about needing. They thought of everything, even down to having the TV and DVD on wheels so we could enjoy movie's from anywhere in the lodge, including whilst sitting in the amazing jacuzzi bath. We have passed the details on to many friends and we will be back ourselves!

If anyone wants a relaxing break away from it all then this is the place. It was for our honeymoon at Griffon Forest and it was all we could ever have wanted. We will definitely go back and have recommended the park to all of our friends!

Lovely holiday - the perfect place to chill out. Well located for travelling to the coast, the Moors or York. Would highly recommend staying here for the huge hot tub alone!
